Chris & Natasha :: Engagement Shoot

They walked hand in hand, sneaking kisses and flirting in the afternoon sun. Anyone who saw them could see that Chris and Natasha have a special love. A love the is sweet, flirty, fun, and that is all their own.

Sam of Samantha Polanco Photography joined me (Laura) for the afternoon as Chris, Natasha, and I walked through the halls of Balboa Park .  Sam and I get the honor of shooting their wedding in a few weeks, and we can't wait to share another afternoon with them to document their love!

Ash Cave in Hocking Hills Ohio

Most of Columbus Ohio is flat terrain.  Except for Ash Cave in Hocking Hills.  Ash Cave is a huge  natural cave with a waterfall.  Native Americans used to live and hold ceremonies in Ash Cave.  The natives made so many fires there that when it was first discovered by settlers the floor of the cave had a thick layer of ashes.

It's an incredible hiking spot and even a place where people can hold a small wedding.  Today, Imre, Amy, and I hiked into the woods to see Ash Cave and to take an unexpected dip in the waterfall.  It was probably one of the most beautiful times to hike into Ash Cave because of all the spring growth.  The trees and plants were exploding with a brilliant green that us who live in Southern California don't get to see.

Peyton, my new found buddy from Ohio.  Peyton is a local PA for the show we are working on and is a writer.  And for some reason he has become like my little brother since I have been out here.  He is also my fishing guide around these parts.  Here's our portrait session around some run down buildings.
