MCRD Wedding :: Rey & Amy

It was a blustery morning as we drove down to San Diego the rain fell on the window shield and traffic backed up as the drizzles began to fall harder.

As Amy and her bridesmaids arrived, the weather couldn't put anybody down. Because today was Amy's wedding day. And rain or shine, she was getting ready to marry the man of her dreams. And he was getting ready to say 'I do' to the woman he would call his own.

But as the dress was put on, boutonnieres were pinned in, the sun peeked through the clouds to become one of the most gorgeous October evenings. And everything just sparkled.

Congratulations to you both! We couldn't be more happy for you and feel honored to document your love.

 

Amy called a few days before the wedding and decided that she and Rey wanted to have a first look on their wedding day. We couldn't have been more thrilled! 

For those of you who don't know, a "First Look"is the term for when a bride and groom see each other before the ceremony (hence the very original name :) ). It allows us (the photographer) to document more of the emotion between the bride and groom as they see each other for the first time. It also allows more time for photos of the bride and groom and less rush for all the formal photos after the ceremony. All in all, we love it. 

It was a blast shooting at MCRD Bay View Catering for our first time. Special thanks to Tony & Loree Love for referring Amy & Rey to us for the wedding. Love you guys!
