Normally when we show up to a wedding we walk in to first find the beautiful bride with her maids getting all dolled up. And then we get to see the groom with his men (and you know the "getting ready" takes all of a few minutes to buckle the cuff links and tie the tie.) But on Joel and Samantha's wedding day after driving up to San Clemente for their wedding we ran into Joel as he and his guys were on their way to what would be the site he would say "I do" at the beautiful Courtside Catering and Events. And what we found was Joel with a mixture of excitement and nerves as he was about to make the commitment of his lifetime.
Everything about this day was special and genuine. From the bridal bag (which EVERY mother of the bride should have- oh my goodness this bag had EVERYTHING- literally) to the way Joel & Samantha's families welcomed us to share their day with open arms, to the way people expressed their love and appreciation for Joel & Samantha and who they are as a couple. Today everything came together- just as it did the day they became "Joel & Samantha" at their senior prom. Thank you both for inviting us in to be a part of this day- and all the ways you made us feel appreciated and welcome as you began your lives together!!
OK.....this next one has to be one of my favorite candid moments from the weddings we've done.... Especially Mom's face in the background... with no clue about what her little sweetheart is up to :)
Congratulations Joel & Samantha!!
