Carlsbad Engagement Shoot :: Nick & Jenna

"So are you going to blog about this?" She said with a giggle and a glimmer of a smile.
(And after receiving the OK) Yes, we are. And here it is!

Ever since getting to know Jenna through emails we knew it was going to be a fun afternoon. Jenna and Nick wanted a combination of field and beach photos- so we went to one of our favorite spots in San Elijo Hills in an open field before we (had planned) to go to Nick's favorite surf spot in Carlsbad, Terramar Beach.

The day was going perfectly.....great light....fun conversation....beautiful photos with beautiful people. The sun was glowing through the trees, there was barely a car passing by on the road (except for a man driving his cart up and down a driveway to deliver yard waste who backed up into Nick's 4 month old car!) and it just felt like summer.
Yes. He did it. He put the first dent and scratch in Nick's car. (And then he left with the intention of "coming back.")
Needless to say, our afternoon in the fields really showed who Nick and Jenna are. They support each other and care for those around them.  Their love is sweet and genuine, and they are the kind of people you just want to call friends.

Thank you for allowing us to share a piece of your story. And next year when you get married in Philly just remember to look out for those little carts!

Oh......and don't worry. Nick & Jenna found the little cart man and everything with the car worked out :)

Much love!
